In my devotions today I learned about the peace of God. I know that true peace can only be found in the Cross of Jesus Christ. Peace with God is different from the peace of God. They both are very important. My prayer today is that God's peace will invade our lives. Jesus spoke of this peace in John 14:27 to His disciples just a day before He was crucified. Listen to what He said:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Peace with God comes when you give your life to God. Salvation gives us peace with God. What we need in life is the peace of God. Listen to what Paul wrote.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which transcends all ...
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will
guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ...
If I'm going to have God's peace in my heart, I must accept His view of my current circumstances. Do you believe that?
We must rest in His love and power to see us through it. Not of our own strength but His.
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love
God-those whom He has called according to His plan. ...
When I accept God's view of my circumstances I hold to His promise that nothing will separate us from Him.

Psalm 119:165 tells us how we can enjoy the peace of God.
Those who love Your law have great peace, And nothing causes them to stumble.

God's word is essential. Our soul and heart needs Gods word more than our body needs air.
Our act of servitude is a response of God's love. We should never grow tired. But some do. How does one become tired of doing God's work.
We must do everything in the strength of the lord. We must remind God of His promises to us. He is forever faithful. We must walk, live and do our lives in faith.
I've had a peace about life since I was young. I'm blessed to know that God has been actively working in my life since I was born. Though I deviated off life's journey many times He was always there for me. Carefully guiding me to the place where I am today. Last March I received some tough news about the lost of a real close love one. He lived such a modeled life before God. When He died I didn't question God, I trusted God that His view of the circumstances were perfect. I realized God had called him home. I can honestly say that I experienced the peace of God in this situation. I thought that I was closer to God than I had ever been. Until July I was given the worst news that my heart had ever received. Its is by God's Grace and only by His grace that I was able to endure this news. If it was not for the peace of God this last year I would not had made it. Never would have made it. God is so so so Awesome!!!! Never take Him for granted. Well as you can see I really want you to find both peace with God and the peace of God.
Just say yes......

Most of my life I knew of Salvation as I thought it to be. I believed in God. I knew God existed. It has been in just the past few years that I have come to realize that I needed a God's view of God instead of a my view of God. Charles Stanley's devotion today put my thoughts in perspective. What really matters in the life of a christian is that we have the assurance that we will spend eternity in the presence of God. Whether we live a short life or a long live the goal in life and God's will for us is to be in His presence. We can find no better, safer, joyful, greater, place than being in the arms of God. His arms stretched wide on that cross and they remain open for us today. Just say yes......

1 john 5:5-12

verse 11 and 12-
11 And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life ; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.

The message is deep today, but then again when is the word not. It is not shallow by far. God is so amazing!!!!!

Our culture is obsessed with longevity. While the desire for a lengthy existence of good quality is natural, it is also shortsighted. The Bible certainly does emphasize living a godly life now. But it also contains plenty of reminders that believers will remain long after this old world is gone.

There is no pill or diet that can extend our days on earth beyond the number that the Lord has willed. But there is a way to live forever in a perfect home with a flawless body, doing soul-satisfying work. When we believe that Jesus Christ is God's Son and trust Him as our Savior, we receive the gift of eternal life. Believers get to spend eternity serving and fellowshipping with the Lord.

Although we are promised a place in heaven, eternal life is not really about location. The real value of having a soul that never dies is that we are always in the presence of God. For those who reject the offer of everlasting life with the Lord, there is an alternative. We call it hell. The souls that end up there suffer a terrible fate—agony and complete separation from the living God. After death, there is no mercy or grace that can bridge the gap between hell and heaven. The matter must be settled while we are on earth (Heb. 9:27).

Eternal life is irrevocably linked to the person of Jesus Christ. As John wrote, "He who has the Son has life" (1 John 5:12). Reaching a healthy old age is a laudable goal, but nothing is more important than receiving the Savior and the gift of an eternity in His presence.
